[Mission of the Week Muse: Nigella Lawson]

© Photo by JP Masclet via www.nigella.com

I've been a fan since 2001. I even bought the British version of "How to Eat" from Harrod's while on vacation in London-- knowing full well I'd have to convert all the measurements.  It did eventually get printed in the US and now I have one of each!

Nigella brought something to new to the world of tv chef-- she was beautiful, voluptuous and made food sexy.   The woman even just announced that she has launched her own iPhone app (oh Apple-- you make me covet you so)!

Whats not to love!?

[Kitchen: Make it Pretty]

1. Curvy Servers from Branch 2. Vintage Potholder Patterns 3. M-Cups Matryoshkas Measuring Cups from CoolStuffExpress 4. Trimmer Mechanical Kitchen Scale  5. Gothic Cooking Half Apron from PamWares

Yes, I know know, It's "cook more" week, not "shop more." But, who couldn't use a spruce up in the kitchen to make it more inviting!?Above are a few items that I think would make slaving over the stove that much easier.

I'm a huge fan of wooden spoons, but don't have any purty colors like those! My current potholders you ask? Dreadful! How is it my Grandmother has seemed to have the same ones for over 30 years?  Am I that careless in the kitchen?  I think I will try to make some cute new ones-- but that will be a different week's mission.

Scene: Me in my sun drenched kitchen pouring flour from my cute as a button matryyoshkas measuring cups while wearing my darling Sassaman Fabric apron-- scale piled high with vibrant green-apples on the counter near by.

Perfect, right?

Don't tell my flour covered jeans and black shirt, that I inevitably wear when I bake. There is a noticeable lack of apron cover any party of my body.  A girl can dream, can't she?

Hello New Friend!

"Its a time of hope, for all of your plans to work out, and to wish for your dearest dreams, to turn into reality." -unknown
This year Easter felt a lot like New Years to me.  A time of rebirth and new beginnings. Seems fitting to make changes when spring is burgeoning and all if fresh and new. So here I am ready to meet my goals, BUT I've said this enough times to know that I always have fantatstic plans-- the follow through-- not so much.  Thats where Green to Pink will come in.  This is  a place for goals to be made public. The steps to reach them be documented.  I hope Green to Pink will give me a sense of accountability-- even if I don't have any readers (yet)!

In return I will share with you the people, things and places that inspire me-- and hopefully inspire you as well.
